car finance - Tips and Suggestions
There are few important points that you need to consider when getting finance for your car.
1. Budget : For setting up your budget you need to be sure of the features you require in your car. In case you want a family car, the size of your family matters. It will be a good idea to make a list of the features you want in your car. You may like a car that runs on either diesel or petrol. The price of a car is influenced by this factor. The important aspect, prior to applying for credit, is to work out your pay back comfort level. Do not go for a car of your dreams if you do not have the requisite capacity to pay back your credit.
2. Comparison of prices : It is a good idea to compare prices of different cars and their models. You need to go through the local newspaper in order to get the best deal. A thorough search on all the websites of car companies will give you a lot of detailed information. Price comparison may become easier.
3. How to evaluate finance : You need to take the help of the internet to find the best car finance deal. You may visit different websites related to car finance companies. There are a number of sites on the internet related to personal loan companies. You can also visit them as they can be helpful in determining the finance deal most suited to you. You may also consult an independent financial advisor in this connection. Never buy a car on impulse. Give due thought before closing the finance deal.
4. How to negotiate : As mentioned earlier, never buy a car on impulse. Your decision should be based on thorough research on your car and other alternate models, as also on various finance companies. You need to take time while negotiating car finance. It will be a good idea to sit across the table and negotiate as against negotiations over the phone. It will be easier for you to judge a few things from the dealer's body language. Take your time even if you feel convinced of the deal. Consult your friends on the terms and conditions of the deal before finally signing on the dotted line. In case you make the purchase from a dealer, you must try to include road tax and warranties in the preview of finance.
5. Test drive : Don't forget to take your car on a test drive before taking it home. See if everything is working smoothly.
Finally, try to get good warranties and everything done in writing.
